No magic, simply food

Today health is an important topic for many of us and once you start looking in to what each of us can do to improve the health of ourselves as well as our families, there is an avalanche of information out there, many claiming having miraculous properties to heal our bodies and fight diseases. We all know that our bodies need good quality foods to restore and maintain itself and defend itself from any negative impacts such as stress, illnesses and support the multitude of processes our body completes every day to remain healthy – physically as well as mentally.

Why – closing the gap

What are the reasons for many of us benefitting from nutritional supplements? The World Health Organisation recommends to consume 9-13 servings of vegetables and fruit a day or optimal health. Many of us do not achieve this on a daily basis, so over time we can become nutrient depleted and it can start to impact our health. Adding clinically researched food based products to our daily routine can assist in closing the gap that can arise through our nutrition as well as through nutrient depleted soil in Australia that leads to products containing less critical nutrients than they used to have years and decades ago.

Macronutrients such as carbohydrates, fats and protein and Micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals are at the core of what our bodies need and utilise every single day to maintain its health.

The products

The core product of encapsulated vegetables, berries and fruit delivers natural products that are easily recognized by our bodies and absorbed, as they contain nothing but food and add a variety of just under 30 different, vegetables, berries and fruit to our diet. The produces is grown on pesticide free farms that have delivered to the company for over three decades, the products have been harvested at the peak of ripeness to deliver the full nutrient value, and are processed locally where they are dried at low temperatures that won’t damage the nutrients. In comparison to synthetic produced multivitamins used in many Australian households, the capsules are absorbed within our bloodstream rapidly. These capsules have been proven in clinical studies to reduce inflammation, protect our DNA and reduce the frequency of colds by providing micronutrients the body can utilise quickly and close the gap between what we eat and we need.

The other product included in the offer are vegan protein shakes that are packed with super foods such as spirulina, broccoli, alfalfa sprouts and mushroom powder that supply a good foundation of macronutrients to our bodies and are a good addition to our daily food routines by either supplying a nutritious breakfast in form of a shake or a great morning or afternoon tea that leaves us satisfied and reduces the blood sugar spikes and sugar cravings many experience throughout a hectic day.

The latest product in the group of nutritional supplements are the vegan omegas, a blend of essential omegas 3 and 6 that we need for our brain health, brain development in pregnancy and our bodies need to consume through our diets as we can’t produce them ourselves.

If our diets were free of processed foods and rich in balanced and varied mainly plant based produce, we would not need to supplement for optimal health, but studies have shown that only 1 in 20 children in NSW eat the recommended amount of vegetables daily and we can assume that this might apply to many families in NSW. Closing the nutritional gap will be beneficial for us in the short term with improved immune systems and in the long term with less inflammation caused diseases.
