Community Classes

We have been running regular community classes on Saturday afternoons at Inspire Yoga. These classes have been run by our trainee teachers under the supervision of senior teachers.

The Community classes are voluntarily run by the trainees, they can choose to run half a class or a full class. The trainees design and sequence the class themselves with mentoring from a senior teacher and run it on the day.

During the course 3 styles of Yoga are taught. The trainees learn Hatha as it has a strong alignment focus, this is the foundation for other styles. From there we teach Vinayasa or flow and there is also a Therapeutic component. We work with each individual student to develop their own style over the year. Each class will be a different style of Yoga varying from more gentle breath focused practices to stronger Hatha and Flow classes.

The cost to participants is $5 to be paid at the door which is donated to charity at the end of the year.

Our trainees are almost at the end of the 400hour teacher training which started in Feb 2020.  Watch this space as you may see some of the trainees on our regular timetable in 2021.

Here are some pics of our trainees in action...
